Schedule of Fees and Charges

Membership: $25

Individuals desiring electric service are required to become a member of the Association and pay a refundable membership fee. This allows the member all rights and privileges of membership, including electric service, a subscription to the "Today in Mississippi" monthly publication, free in-home energy audits and more.

Service Fee: $35

When a new account is established or an existing account is transferred to a new service location, a nonrefundable service fee is assessed to offset the cost of setting up the account and setting the meter.

Deposits: Varies

Residential Deposits

Deposits are based on credit rating

Green – No deposit
Yellow – One month historical usage at service location
Red – Two months historical usage at service location

Commercial Deposits

Service location with existing history – Two months historical usage at service location
Service location without historical usage – Twice the estimate kW usage OR Twice the historical usage on a similar service location

Reconnect Fee:

$40 – During regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
$80 – After 4:00 p.m. and weekends.

No meter will be set back after 9:00 p.m.

Delinquent Penalty Fee: Varies

Applied to delinquent amount on current bill
5 percent of delinquent balance under $250 plus 1 percent of remaining balance over $250
